Le topos actualisé de la traversée maritime donne une représentation tragique de cette étape majeure voire ultime de la mobilité contemporaine. S’il souligne la vulnérabilité de l’homme dans la mondialisation, il dévoile aussi comment se construit un nouveau rapport à soi et à l’autre. L’altérité en soi, sous les aspérités de l’être de surface, révèle une autre façon de concevoir l’identité. La traversée de la mer interdite, « nomad land » plutôt que « no man’s land », devient une métaphore de « l’esprit migrateur » dans les textes de Kébir Ammi, Stéphane Coste, Louis-Philippe Dalembert, Assya Djoulaït et Émile Ollivier. Abstract: From a corpus of clandestine migration that stages the crossing of the sea, we review the living at sea when it is erected as a closed border. The updated topos of the sea crossing underlines the vulnerability of man in contemporary globalization but also reveals how a new relationship to oneself and to the other is constructed. The otherness in itself reveals, under the asperities of the being, another way of conceiving the identity.
