En soulignant les stéréotypes et les entrecroisements caractéristiques des représentations du complot qui l’informent, le roman nous invite aussi à envisager deux aspects essentiels pour qui s’intéresse au journalisme : d’une part, l’intertextualité entre le travail de reporter de Leroux et le travail du romancier qu’il est devenu et, d’autre part, une réflexion centrale sur l’articulation entre raison et émotion au sein du travail journalistique. In 1913, Gaston Leroux, a former journalist, published Rouletabille chez le tsar as a serial, the third of eight wise books.
