Mais Harry lui-même est membre d’une société secrète qui a recours au complot. Et une autre lecture pourrait voir en Harry un jeune homme qui partage bien des traits avec certains adolescents contemporains, en particulier la quête de soi, les failles narcissiques et l’intérêt pour les complots fictifs. Cet article envisage les articulations et les enjeux de ces différentes formes de complot dans l’œuvre à succès de J. K. Rowling. En se fondant sur les représentations (socio-)anthropologiques et psychanalytiques qui l’informent, il montre que l’imaginaire du complot qui alimente le parcours d’Harry Potter lui confère une dimension mythique permettant à ses nombreux lecteurs de réaliser un apprentissage de soi. The Harry Potter series of novels (1997-2007) by J. K. Rowling features a teenage protagonist who is pursued by a group of conspiring wizards who want to kill him and seize power. But Harry himself is a member of a secret society that resorts to conspiracy. And another reading might see in Harry a young man who shares many traits with certain contemporary adolescents, particularly the search for self, narcissistic flaws and interest in fictional plots. This article examines the articulations and issues of these different forms of conspiracy in J. K. Rowling’s successful work.
