S’inspirant des théories de Carla Benedetti exposées dans l’essai La letteratura ci salverà dall’estinzione, l’objectif est de mettre en évidence le rôle crucial de la littérature dans le discours sur l’écologie. La pièce La Nouvelle Antigone. Le mythe s’empare du climat de Frédérique Zahnd sera analysée en particulier afin de montrer que les adaptations contemporaines des tragédies constituent un moyen innovant pour dénoncer le changement climatique. The article aims to explore the role of literature as a tool of resistance and transformation in the era of the Anthropocene and the climate crisis, emphasizing how certain reworkings of classical myths can act as mechanisms capable of awakening collective consciousness and imagining alternative responses to the ongoing climate catastrophe. Drawing inspiration from Carla Benedetti’s theories presented in her essay La letteratura ci salverà dall’estinzione, the goal is to highlight the crucial role of literature in the ecological discourse. In particular, the analysis focuses on the play La Nouvelle Antigone.
