Ils cherchent à montrer ce qui se cache derrière les murs, les barbelés et les chiffres, et à appréhender la dimension humaine de ce phénomène. L’œuvre artistique ou littéraire devient le support privilégié pour énoncer le malaise, la brutalité et l’inégalité que représente la frontière moderne. L’article interroge comment la représentation du dispositif de la frontière modifie l’imaginaire de la migration, notamment la figure du migrant, souvent stéréotypée et marginalisée. Il examine comment littérature et arts contemporains participent à cette mise en récit à travers l’artefact frontalier, et quel espace le migrant est voué à occuper entre réel et fiction. At the same time as state borders are being re-established to stem migratory flows, many international authors and artists are taking an interest in the subject of migration, focusing on the representation of the movement of migrants towards Europe. They aim to reveal what lies behind the walls, barbed wire, and migration statistics, and to grasp the human dimension of this phenomenon. Artistic and literary works have become the preferred medium for expressing the unease, brutality, and inequality that the modern border represents. The article examines how the representation of the border mechanism modifies the imaginary of migration, particularly the figure of the migrant, often stereotyped and marginalised.
